Shortly after the release of IOS 7, pictures of Logitech's gamepad for the Iphone were released from a well known source. This is most likely going to be one of the first versions of the gamepad released. Some games have virtual gamepads on the screen but the feel to it is off. Some people have tried sticking on a joystick onto the screen to make the gameplay more enjoyable but I have experienced first hand that it is not helpful as the joystick takes up a majority of the screen. I think that is a big step for people who play games that require a gamepad because many people dislike having not enough space to play games requiring the gamepad. Having a gamepad surrounding your device will make it a lot easier for people to play games on. The downside of having this gamepad is that your mobile device will be much bigger. Some people may be willing to take the gamepad over the size, but some people prefer the small size over having a gamepad so it will be interesting to see how this product sells if it is released.

  1. It wouldn't work for games that require you to tap the screen in specific ways. If people have the intent to game on the go and they are not satisfied with Iphone gaming then they should get a DS or Vita.

  2. I'm going to be interested to see how a product like this is going to compare to something like the Nvidia Shield. The shield to me looks like a much better gaming experience because of how it's basically a standard playstation or xbox controller strapped to a screen in terms of ergonomics. Not to say that Logitech's controller isn't going to work, but it seems damn close to a Wii U controller which is quite odd.

  3. The problem is if it's not an apple product, app developers won't have support for it. Even if it works, the on screen controls will probably stay on the screen. Seems like a waste of money to me. :\

  4. I feel that an iphone is used for casual gaming, having a controller in hand is not worth the investment, not when the competition for handheld gaming is so high. Getting an actual portable gaming device would be worth the time.

  5. I think this concept is not suitable for IOS games since one of the special thing about playing games is the touch control gaming, and using this just destroyed this special part. IOS games are also mainly designed to be leisure light gaming, which doesn't require such "professional" gaming gear.
